Amended principles of processing customer data to come into effect on 1 October 2022

On 1 October 2022 Coop Bank will update the principles of processing customer data.

The main changes are as follows:

  • Based on justified interest, processing of customer data is allowed for software development and dissemination of customer surveys among other things.
  • The principles of processing customer data have been supplemented with the requirement derived from the General Data Protection Regulation, according to which a request concerning processing of customer data must be answered within one month from the date on which it was received.
  • • Another addition concerns replies to queries: implementation of a customer’s rights cannot cause damage to other customers or to the justified interest and rights of the Coop Bank Group (including commercial secrets and intellectual property).
