Coop opens bank point in Sillamäe

Continuing its expansion throughout Estonia, Coop Pank has opened a bank point at the information desk at the Coop Maksimarket supermarket in Sillamäe. Coop now has 26 bank points around the country.

Coop’s aim is to make using everyday banking services as convenient and as available as possible, even outside of the bigger cities. For this reason, in addition to its branches, the bank has adopted the innovative approach of bank points. The information desk at Maksimarket in Sillamäe is now home to one such bank point – the first of its kind in Ida-Viru County.

According to Helle Luks, the head of the sales network for Coop Pank, the bank point represents an innovative alternative that allows customers to carry out everyday banking activities quickly and easily in-store with the help of a member of the Coop team. “You simply go up to the information desk and tell the person working there that you want to open a bank account,” she explained. “They’ll then take a copy of your ID card and set the account up for you, and you’ll be able to collect your new bank card and password from the same store just a week later. Or if you prefer, you can have your card posted to you at home.”

The bank points located in Coop stores enable customers to open accounts, order bank cards and submit applications for small loans. In addition to the bank point in Sillamäe, Coop Pank is represented in Ida-Viru County by its branches in Jõhvi and Narva. The locations of all Coop bank points and branches can be found here.
