Coop Pank has added family coronavirus coverage to its travel insurance with a monthly payment, which covers travel cancellation costs, as well as medical expenses around the world caused by COVID-19.
Teet Kerem, the head of everyday private banking at Coop Pank, said that this spring the bank in cooperation with If Kindlustus, developed travel insurance with a monthly payment, which was very well received by customers: “Such insurance is especially suitable for those who value comfort and do not want to order a new policy before each trip or to immediately pay the entire amount of the annual insurance. Coop Pank travel insurance can be paid in small instalments every month.”
According to Kerem, prices for two-week European travel insurance for two persons with similar conditions start at 70 euros: “For the same money, clients of Coop Pank Rahn and Rändrahn packages receive travel insurance for the entire year and for the whole family – the insurance covers both the package owner and his or her spouse or partner as well as children under 22 years of age. As a result, such travel insurance with a monthly payment pays off after the first trip.”
He added that travel insurance with a monthly payment is especially convenient for shorter trips, since, for example, when traveling to Finland or Latvia, you may not always remember to take out insurance every time, but in the event of a sudden illness or accident, insurance can be very useful.
“With school holidays approaching, we want to offer families an extra sense of confidence and have just added COVID-19 coverage to our travel insurance. While no insurance can prevent infection, it provides the assurance that if the trip is cancelled due to illness or if you incur medical expenses due to illness during the trip, the insurance will reimburse the costs,” added Teet Kerem.
Coop Pank's travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage is valid all over the world if at the time of the insured event the insured person has a valid vaccination certificate or a certificate of prior COVID-19 illness within the last six months. If the insured person does not have a vaccination certificate or a certificate of prior COVID-19 illness, COVID-19 insurance coverage is valid only in Europe, Turkey, Egypt, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Tunisia, Morocco, Israel, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. For a child under the age of 11 (inclusive) traveling with a parent, COVID-19 insurance is valid worldwide, regardless of whether the child has a vaccination certificate or a certificate of prior illness.
All customers who have opted for Coop Pank Rahn and Rändrahn packages can order travel insurance with a monthly payment in the online bank, and it will be activated the next day.
