Coop Pank has launched its new Platinum credit card, expanding its everyday banking offering with a new premium product. The new card combines travel benefits, travel insurance for the whole family, purchase protection and an interest-free period of up to 40 days.
According to Karel Parve, Head of Retail Banking at Coop Pank, the new Platinum credit card is designed to appeal to a broader range of customers and offer a strong alternative to premium cards already available on the market.
“The Estonian banking market is highly competitive, and it is worth comparing the terms and benefits offered by different providers. When developing Platinum, we took a close look at both customer needs and the products already available on the market and created a credit card with a competitive balance of price and benefits. We want to give people a reason to take a fresh look at their existing banking services and choose the solution that best meets their actual needs,” said Parve.
Travel is one of the key areas of focus for the Platinum credit card. The card includes travel insurance for the cardholder as well as their spouse or partner travelling with them, and their children and grandchildren up to the age of 21. The insurance also includes rental car cover and applies for the first 90 days of each trip.
Through Priority Pass, cardholders have access to more than 1,900 airport lounges worldwide, with one complimentary visit per year. The card also includes Fast Track, allowing customers to purchase access to priority security lanes at airports. For everyday purchases, additional protection is provided by automatic purchase insurance valid for one year. Cardholders can also withdraw up to €1,000 in cash per month worldwide without any withdrawal fees charged by Coop Pank.
“For us, a premium service is not simply about exclusivity. It is about bringing together benefits and conveniences that customers will genuinely use. It was particularly important to us that the travel insurance and travel-related benefits also reflect the needs of customers travelling with their families,” Parve added.
The Platinum credit card has a monthly fee of €11.99. It offers an interest-free period of up to 40 days, while the credit limit is determined based on the customer’s creditworthiness.
Full terms and conditions of the Platinum credit card are available on the Coop Pank website.
