Karel Parve became a member of the board and head of private banking in Coop Pank

On Wednesday, November 1, Karel Parve began working as a member of the board and head of private banking in Coop Pank. One of his main objectives is to increase the number of private clients who use Coop Pank as their home bank.
According to Margus Rink, chairman of the board of Coop Pank, over the seven years of operation, the bank has successfully completed most of its objectives: “Our next important goal is to increase Coop Pank’s market share in everyday banking for private clients to 10% by 2027, that is, to achieve a situation where every tenth person in Estonia is our active client. To achieve this goal, we need a new approach, and I am confident that Karel Parve’s extensive experience in private client sales, customer service and product development in various banks will help us achieve our goals.”
According to Karel Parve, he decided to join Coop Pank because his personal values fit well with the values and the role of Coop Pank in society. “Coop Pank is a success story of domestic banking, to which I would like to contribute with my experience and knowledge, further increasing the influence of the bank in the Estonian economy and society. An efficient and strong team at Coop Pank is well positioned to successfully achieve the set goals,” added Parve.
Karel Parve received a BA in International Relations from Bucknell University. Since 2019, he has worked at LHV Pank, where he most recently headed the private banking department. Previously he also worked at Luminor and Swedbank.
Karel Parve has been made a member of the management board of Coop Pank for three years. In addition to him, the board of Coop Pank includes head of corporate banking Arko Kurtmann, finance director Paavo Truu, risk manager Heikko Mäe and chairman of the board Margus Rink.
