Coop Pank becomes a major sponsor of the national volleyball teams

According to the agreement symbolically signed on the evening of Saturday, 2 March, Coop Pank will support the national volleyball teams until 2026. The bank also supports the development of youth volleyball by becoming the title sponsor of the U16, U18 and U20 cup competitions.

Arko Kurtmann, Member of Coop Pank Management Board and Head of Corporate Banking, noted that Coop Bank would like to contribute to the continuation of the success story of Estonian volleyball through cooperation. “Volleyball is the most successful ball game in Estonia in the last decade,” said Kurtmann. “Our men’s national team has participated in the European Championship finals seven times in the last decade and the women’s team two times. There is also a new generation of talented players growing up, who have reached the finals of the U17 European Championship for both young men and women this year. We hope that we can contribute to taking Estonian volleyball to new heights.”

According to the President of the Estonian Volleyball Federation Hanno Pevkur, it’s important that the league has a new strong contributor. “It’s a great joy to see that a major local corporation has decided to start supporting volleyball,” said Pevkur. “This will give us more confidence in planning our future activities and help the teams to focus on the next important competitions. Coop Pank has an excellent image as a company, and the volleyball family warmly welcomes and thanks its new partner, with whom we hope to achieve great results.”
