Coop Pank has expanded its range of banking plans with the launch of Unlimited, a new plan designed for travellers that combines everyday banking services with comprehensive travel insurance that is activated automatically.
While travellers traditionally purchased travel insurance separately before each trip, insurance cover is increasingly becoming a built-in feature of everyday banking. According to Moonika Maaring, Head of Retail Banking at Coop Pank, one of the key reasons behind this trend is the growing frequency of travel.
“Travelling abroad no longer necessarily means a lengthy holiday. It may be a day trip to Helsinki or a weekend in Riga. People do not always think of these journeys as travel in the traditional sense, yet it remains important to have the right insurance cover in place,” said Maaring.
As a result, customers increasingly expect travel insurance to be included in their banking plan and to apply automatically. Reflecting this demand, personal travel insurance is at the heart of the new Unlimited plan, providing cover for the first 90 days of every trip. The insurance includes medical expenses cover of up to €1 million, as well as protection for baggage, travel disruption, personal liability, legal expenses and accidents.
In addition, customers on the plan can withdraw up to €10,000 in cash each month from ATMs worldwide without any fees charged by Coop Pank.
“The new Unlimited banking plan is designed for people who value a wide range of benefits. Lifestyles are becoming increasingly mobile and diverse, and customers expect their everyday banking services to evolve alongside them,” Maaring explained.
The plan also includes purchase protection insurance, 1% annual interest on current account balances and the opportunity to earn a 1% shopping bonus on purchases made at Coop stores. Customers can also withdraw cash free of charge from all bank ATMs in Estonia and make cash deposits and withdrawals at Coop store checkouts across the country.
The Unlimited banking plan is available for a monthly fee of €6.99.
